Last year, I worked on the old version of iMovie. The old version has many effects that the new version does not have. For example, you can add rain for your film as an effect. In addition, it has many features that the new version does not have. However, the new version is extremely easy to use while the old one is so complex and and hard to use.
The question is, should we use the new version , and make normal movies, or should we use the old one so our films will be more than professional?

I too have worked on both the new and old versions of imovie and I think that if everyone had a presentation of the old version like we did for the new, than it wouldn't be that hard to use it. I am finding that I like the older version better because of the layout of the program. The new is all cluttered on to an individual screen where the old had tabs to open a new area. I believe the new version is much more user friendly but for ability to make good looking movies we should use either the old version of imovie or windows movie maker, which has many features that imovie hasn't had.
